This year marks the 5th year that the eft Life Science Supply Chain Summit is held in Europe. The event is held in Amsterdam at the Mercure Hotel, and the dates to block in your calendar are December 3 and 4. The tagline for this year is “Adapt to Regulation Change & Manage Increasing Costs in Your Life Sciences Supply Chain”. Not mentioned in there is “New Industry Trends”.
Three main themes are divided across the two conference days. A quick look at all three:
- End-to-end Supply Chain Metrics: S&OP, Risk Management, Change Management, Partnerships, LSPs and Transportation Networks
- New Industry Trends: Segmentation, Direct-to-Customer, Big Data, M&A, Hospital Logistics, City Logistics, and Control Towers
- Regulation: Emerging Markets, LSPs and their desired capabilities, Cold Chain Challenges, and Standards and Partnering in Supply Chains
The aim of the event is not just to supply you with new ideas and information, but also to motivate you to actively think about and discuss the topics at hand in smaller group sessions and workshops with industry experts from both supplier and provider sides. Who? I will list some:
Suppliers: Abbott, Arjo Huntleigh, Bristol-Myers Squibb, Johnson & Johnson, Merck, Novartis, Pfizer, Roche and Teva Pharmaceuticals
Providers: DB Schenker, Geodis, Katoen Natie, Menlo Logistics, and TNT Express
